Caracol was recently nominated at the Canadian Indie Awards in the Electronic Artist of the Year category, alongside international acts such as Milk & Bone, DVBBS and Rezz. Flooded Field is the 1st single from her new record, and was written in collaboration with Detroit rapper Illa J, brother of the late Jay Dilla.

This reggae-infused indie-pop track has already landed spots on Spotify's New Music Friday, Indie All Stars, Indie Pop Chillout, and Evening Commute. The combination of a simple chord change on the acoustic piano, a 16th-note shuffle, and heavy backbeat with the dreamy vocal delivery from Caracol creates a majestic pop landscape where the contribution from Illa J is allowed to shine. This single from Caracol explores the fragile space between two lovers, and the honest communication needed to negotiate furious waters together.

Your heart is a flooded field
Drowning in the silver stream
Show me how to get to you
