Cavetown is a 20-year-old singer songwriter from Cambridge named Robin Skinner. His whole-hearted optimism and authenticity is reflected in an effortless sense of melody, and a laid-back approach to life.

The voice here is unflustered and unique, backed with some simple harmony, high notes on the piano, and a chamber-pop string arrangement. The sudden success of this young songwriter has resulted in some high-profile shows for this summer, including dates confirmed for Reading & Leeds, TRNSMT, Latitude, 2000trees and Victorious Festival. The reference here feels a bit like Elliott Smith, sans the glorious imperfection - in its place is a flair for harmony that would make Jacob Collier proud, and a more approachable emotionality. Instead of persisting as the soundtrack for melancholic America, Home, the latest from Warner Music artist Cavetown, is a blueprint for tuneful self-deprecation that yields a wistful sense of happiness.
