Dax is a 26-year-old music artist who is currently making something out of absolutely nothing. Last year at around this time, he announced his eminent rise to fame. With close to 2 million monthly listeners, that number has more than doubled in less than a year's time. Dax's lyrical skill and stylistic versatility has created a unique space for his music in the crowded and competitive landscape of modern electronic pop.

After a string of new singles in the last two years, "I'll Say It For You" is his first album since 2018's "It's Different Now," and finds him adding new elements - like autotune and mid-tempo RnB - to his impeccable hip hop credentials. "I Need A Break" explores the ragged, emotional toll of a broken heart, and exposes a side of Dax that is closer to the eclectic pop of Post Malone than his previous releases. Dax's music is both inventive and universal as he illustrates the common ground between love and drug use. The bass is pumping and the tears are flowing on an exciting new drop from this Canadian performer based in Los Angeles.

I sit and cry in my room
my hearts been broken
suffocating feels like I’m choking
I don’t know what to do
I’m just praying that this pain goes away
drinking taking shots to the face
how you love me if you’re always playing games
want to leave but I feel trapped inside a cage
I just think I need a break
