With a knack for simple hooks, Jerad Finck builds a modern electronic production from the bones of folk-pop, and contends with the state of his relationship. Sometimes it feels like a slow-motion wreck where you can see the conflict approaching, and you are powerless to stop it.

If only we had a reset button; a way to instantly regroup around the concepts of compromise and solidarity. Too often, we just shut down instead.

Is this what we are now?
It’s like we’re made out of stone

Home, the latest single from Jerad Finck, is a warm mix of roots elements like acoustic piano, electric bass, and a pocket that blends subtle elements of swing and backbeat to support this search for an answer. The final product is a poignant cross between Gavin DeGraw and Jason Mraz that touches on the the redemptive power of self-reinvention.

Growing up in Spokane and spending his childhood summers on his family’s farm in Odessa, Washington, Jerad Finck has been playing music his whole life. Since releasing his self-titled debut album he’s been on the road touring with Christina Perri, Edwin McCain, Sister Hazel, Ron Pope, Tony Lucca and many others. This song is featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
