Sami Simon captures intimate feelings within the scope of his beautiful compositions: as an introvert that was often homebound during childhood, he developed a rich inner world to draw upon, always longing for a deeper understanding of the connection between people and things.

Simon recently signed with Amsterdam-based label Revanche Records and released his debut EP Edges this year. It joins the country-roots sound of Wilco with the folk-pop flavor of Mt. Joy, and leaves us with an appreciation for the little details that can make all the difference in someone’s life.

I remember all the dreams we had
And how they made us feel that life ain’t bad

The Dreams We Had, the latest from Berlin’s Sami Simon, is a dynamic mid-tempo groove with the soul of a pop song, punctuated with long notes from the lap steel and a bed of warm honey from the synthesizer.

Sami Simon is a singer-songwriter and abstract painter from Berlin, Germany. This song is featured on our Country playlist.
