With a nod to the highbrow urban grit of a David Bowie and a tenor scream that can lift the mix all on its own, Woody Pitney lays the groundwork for a brooding lounge club singalong. The folk and acoustic roots are strong here, but with a big mix and a layered chorus, creating easy power-pop comparisons to the likes of Vance Joy and The Lumineers.

Taking some time to write and produce new material after amicably splitting with Universal in 2017, Pitney is back with his new single A Little Too Late. It's a reflection on the uneasy side of how we define ourselves: the dark determinism of life itself.

Woody Pitney is a singer-songwriter from Australia. This song is featured on our CHILL NEW Songwriters playlist.
