Albert Hammond, Jr - Far Away Truths

The message is clear, from the song, as well as the artist: we're just a moment away. Rejoice.

It's got some of that scrappy electric guitar we might remember from Is This It, but the undertone is more casual, more introspective, and more personal: showcasing a new sense of vulnerability, perhaps. Francis Trouble, the new release on Red Bull Records from Albert Hammond, Jr, features Far Away Truths, and represents a new direction for this staple artist of the indie rock genre.

The production here feels nuanced, artistic, and stripped-down. It's a story from a star about being a star; about the world as it is, about the cognitive dissonance maybe not everyone can see:

“With every role that you play
The revolution televised
There’s a time and a place
Don’t tell me that it’s paradise”— Albert Hammond, Jr

I think the message is clear, from the song, as well as the artist: we're just a moment away. Rejoice.
