A heady visual experience that feels both sultry and mysterious, as we are compelled to join Anjulie on the permanent dance-floor of her charmed life.

Anjulie is a Juno Award-winning, platinum-selling singer-songwriter and producer of Indian descent who has written and collaborated with Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, and Diplo, among many others. This music video was inspired by the artwork of Jana Brike, and features Anjulie in colorful and provocative scenes, as she tempts the viewer with her feminine mystique and bedroom eyes.

With lyrics in both English and Spanish, and contributions from both Mexican folk-pop star Natalia Lafourcade and Nigerian rapper Phyno, Anjulie joins a tropical dance feel with hints of reggae. This bouncy pop track passed between collaborators over the course of two years: from Canada, to Mexico, to Nigeria, and finally Korea before being finished in Los Angeles. In the compelling music video directed by Clement Oberto, a series of different moods and outfits complement Anjulie's natural beauty, as we enjoy a long-form metaphor about flowers, virginity, and physical attraction. The result is a heady visual experience that feels both sultry and mysterious, as we are compelled to join Anjulie on the permanent dance-floor of her charmed life.

Anjulie wrote 'Holy Water' with Lafourcade and Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike. This song is featured on our Groovy Summer playlist.
