James Orchid is an independent artist & producer based in San Antonio, Texas. His music combines elements of dreamy, guitar-fueled bedroom pop, lo-fi indie rock, and electronic trap beats.

Having written poetry from an early age, his lyrics often focus on themes of introspection, isolation, and nature in an effort to condense the circumstances of his life into a snapshot of visceral truth. His track "Dead Vibrations" explores the metaphysical framework of solitude, and balances the the dark attraction of spiritual self-immolation against the elusive warmth of social connection. Navigating carefully between medication and meditation, James Orchid chooses the path of rebirth, and puts his hope into the regenerative power of artistic creation. His rhythmic and contemplative sound discovers ambition at the heart of existential sorrow.

What’s the point of an empty home?
I don’t think I pushed them away
But if so just leave me the space
I’ve been used to the bitter taste
And the look it leaves on my face
