Daecolm consciously treads a path just outside the mainstream avenues of urban music in the UK, by mixing up his favorite elements of rap, hip hop, and RnB.

Daecolm drops his top single from latest project "FIGUR£$," which references a triple homograph: the physical form, a quantitative description of money, and the act of introspection. "Flashing Lights" got started in a writing session with UK producer 'EY,' one of 3 tracks on the new album that were written in a collaboration between Daecolm and EY.

The music video for "Flashing Lights" is an unapologetic exploration of that moment when two people disappear together into the anonymous arms of the dusk: when the city begins to sleep and everything is quiet. SL-USA TV are the directors that made this vision of romantic escape come to life, while Daecolm consciously treads a path just outside the mainstream avenues of urban music in the UK, by mixing up his favorite elements of rap, hip hop, and RnB. The result is a fresh take on the lovers' soundtrack, with help from some top names in the space of urban music production: ADP, EY, and Daecolm himself are all well-credentialed for their work with artists like Dua Lipa, MIA, Krept and Konan, and Headie One, just to name a few.

Daecolm is a singer & songwriter from Zimbabwe, who was raised in southwest London. This song is featured on our Soul playlist.
