How many memories do I have to kill to stay alive?

FLØRE spent her childhood playing guitar, singing and dreaming of the universe. Her songs are inspired by the existential anxiety of growing up while feeling alienated and vulnerable in this world.

FLØRE loves the moon and other symbols of cosmic solitude, and the loneliness in her songs is an extension of that dedication to personal strength. She produces mostly on her iPad, where her voice tells the story of her own fragility, and she backs her restless croon with a heartbeat kick-drum groove and an elegant electronic production. Bikes, the latest from FLØRE, is an emotional moment of reckoning: will the bitterness of being left by someone you once called home last forever, or is there a way to move on?

How many memories do I have to kill to stay alive?

This song is featured on our Rainy Day playlist.
