His brand of sincere jangle-pop delivers hints of Mac DeMarco and the Velvet Underground, while his songs are a mixture of tenacious craftsmanship and emotional self-expression. After putting in his time supporting other artists by running a music magazine (Rare Candy) and a recording studio (CU Records), Francis set off to make his own art in his own way. His latest track "Gold" mixes a unique sonic palette with choppy rhythms and a poetic sense of optimism, while proving that raw inspiration will never go out of style.
