Oh really, her name is Stevie? That should surprise no one. A truly emotive and exquisite lead vocal; a strong writing sense that underscores the persona, and the kind of production that feels like a given: of course it was always this way. Such is the infectious nature of machineheart.

This song feels like it fits the modern indie-rock landscape, with a nod to the classic sound of a Fleetwood Mac: making the guitar work for the spotlight, and keeping the laser-focus on melody. That inflected vibrato does nothing to dispel the similarity. This looks like a great band to see live.

Hailing from Seattle, LA-based band machineheart has garnered over 47+ million streams off their debut EP within the first year. This song is featured on our CHILL NEW Songwriters playlist.
