Mothé leaves us with the feeling that although there is much to be grateful for, somehow the best is yet to come.

Non-binary artist Spencer Fort, known as Mothé, brings summer to a close with latest track "Summer’s Almost Gone." Released by Slowlab Records, this melodic and sweetly nostalgic indie pop gem features an infectious mid-tempo groove peppered with hooks from the electric guitar.

Mothé writes "music for humans," with a decidedly alt-rock twist on modern indie pop. The production style blends a sparse and dynamic band-vibe early on in the track with a layered and vibrant ending. This slow crescendo contributes a bit of stadium-rock energy to compliment the chilled-out groove found earlier in the song. With lyrics that explore the beautiful melancholy that so often accompanies the irrepressible passage of time, this emotive single pinpoints the bittersweet pathos of late summer with an exceptional vocal performance and effortless falsetto lifts. Mothé leaves us with the feeling that although there is much to be grateful for, somehow the best is yet to come.
