Earlier this year we wrote about East Coast songwriter Nadia Kamrath, and she is back now with a preview of her debut EP Confessions. "James" is a love story wrapped in a song, and naturally represents the kind of sensitive and vulnerable folk-driven pop that Nadia has locked into as a mainstay of her writing style.
With a list of modern contemporaries that includes names like Lizzy Mcalpine, Adrienne Lenker, and Samia, Nadia is in fine company as she hits her stride matching lush acoustic guitar and banjo with story-driven lyrics and a touch of mystery. Often enough, we learn too late that change is not always a force for good. As always, we are more than impressed with Nadia's ability to deliver a poignant and delicate vocal performance over the top of a breathtaking song production.
