Krister Axel - Nov 10, 2019

Niki J Crawford brings the heat with high-energy funk, informed by the soul and gospel sounds of her childhood, as well as her experience as the lead soloist in her hometown church choir. After a short break following her latest tour, Niki is back with a new band and her new track Ride The Wave.

Niki is an actress, recording artist, and songwriter from the small country town of Springhill, Louisiana, with an unforgettable voice and a powerful instinct for melody. Niki and her band have shared the stage with Carlos Santana, Snoop Dogg, Al Green, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Aaron Neville, Macy Gray, Booker T Jones, The Roots, Galactic, and Keb Mo just to name a few. She has performed on late-night TV shows with David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, and Saturday Night Live, and on festival stages across the world like Bonnaroo, Long Beach Jazz Fest, High Sierra, and Jam Cruise. Niki continues to write and perform, leading with her trademark aura of unconditional love and an easy sensuality that fuels her passionate vocal delivery. Ride The Wave, from her album The Second Truth, joins a bass-driven jam with a wah-guitar hook and a horn-section to deliver a message of hope for humanity: we can get through anything, as long as we have faith.
