Rome, the new single from Please Madame, is a visual and spiritual flight on the wings of a disaffected youth.
Krister Axel - Nov 24, 2018

Please Madame aims to put a voice and a face to a confused generation by speaking up about the self-contradictory rhetoric they we’ve been raising them on. It’s an exciting mix of classic and indie-rock with an eye for arena-style energy, backed up with some gorgeous visuals.

By simultaneously promising that anything is possible, and taking away affordable tuition, and housing, and good job prospects, we have created legions of young would-be nihilists. The soaring melody and chorus breaks are meant as a sort of gestalt therapy.

The moment, as is, is always glorious; it is the machinations of mind and substance that create negative illusions:

“Confusing danger with fear
from all the pills I’ve taken”— Please Madame
