The melodic figure almost feels like a clock-chime, relentlessly pushing through the arrangement.
Krister Axel - Dec 28, 2018

This is my favorite type of song in the Ambient & Drone space: it is not overly poised, or manufactured. There is a raw simplicity at work here, and an enticing array of string plucks arranged like little insect pod-feet, marching in time.

It has an airy and open sound: something like a hammer dulcimer, or hitting the strings of a grand piano with your fingers. The melodic figure almost feels like a clock-chime, relentlessly pushing through the arrangement. The intervals, the interaction of so many note clusters, and the deep sense of consistent pulse, all contribute an organic feeling of comfort to this instrumental from Rob Cawley.
