A dream-state groove that will feel familiar to fans of The Weeknd, Maroon 5, and Leon Bridges.

23-year old songwriter and recording artist Sam Sherrod comes to us from Nashville with his debut single "Goodbye." This enigmatic, melody-driven confessional outlines the downward spiral of a tough breakup, and explores the difficulty of adjusting to the sudden changes of a relationship gone wrong.

With a natural groove that mixes acoustic drums with hints of electro-pop, and a subtle swing feel that touches on elements of rhythm and blues, Sherrod combines his own passion for soul-adjacent pop with a unique instinct for melody and an introspective style of lyricism. The result is a dream-state groove that will feel familiar to fans of The Weeknd, Maroon 5, and Leon Bridges.

The production quality and rhythmic brilliance of this production puts Sam Sherrod at the forefront of Nashville’s emerging indie music scene. We expect great things from this rising star.

Sam went to Auburn University, where he played D1 football and graduated with a degree in Marketing. He officially began pursuing his music career and found his rhythmic pocket mixing trap beats for his football teammates. Sam spent his entire college career juggling music, football, top-tier academics, and the social stress associated with being a young college kid — all while navigating the limelight as a football player.

Sam’s ultimate goal is to tell his story to the world. Through it all, he remains determined to stay humble and keep pursuing the thing he loves most: music.
