Sarah Walk will be dropping her "Another Me" album, produced by Leo Abrahams, on Aug 28. "Unravel," her 2nd single - like the record - explores her experience as a queer woman and the process of setting boundaries, as she learns to shut out her challengers once and for all.
Walk grew up in Minneapolis but has spent much of her time living between Los Angeles and London. She explains: "I wanted to make a point early on with this record that there is a lot that women feel and experience outside of what exists in their romantic relationships." Sarah Walk stares directly into the void of "the institutionalized entitlement of men" and connects with a sense of self-discovery as she sets the precedent that relationships are conditional upon the respect you receive. Her songs on this album "have been a journey in learning how to take up space and thrive in the long term."
