The latest single from Swedish pop band Dina Ögon's self-titled debut-album is "Tombola 94," a bouncy jazz-funk number that recalls the groovy heyday of a band like the Bee Gees while adding a dreamy chanteuse flavor with an impressive performance from vocalist Anna Ahnlund. At its root, Dina Ögon is a collaboration between Ahnlund and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Ögren—who is well tapped into his local musical community and has invited a sharp cast of collaborators on this release. Featuring a range of instrumentations to color the music with strings, vibraphone, reeds, and organ, Dina Ögon hits a sweet spot between the styles of bossa nova, lounge, r&b, and smooth jazz.

This unique and eclectic track leverages Ahnlund's gorgeous vocal vocal presence against a sticky Clavinet pocket and a dynamic rhythm section, somehow putting a Swedish stamp on the dance-friendly pop sound that feels as timeless as an obscure Motown b-side yet also as modern and forward-thinking as the latest drop from Amber Mark. "Tombola 94" is impeccably produced and full of light touches that add to its rhythmic flair.
