An Eastern-inspired tabla-pocket meshes nicely with the sputtering bass and layers of falsetto.

Its a chaotic song for a chaotic time; the video is half horror flick, and half biopic. In LA, only weird is normal. 

The sound here is gorgeous, and thick, layering cold synthesizers and an echoed bass, with a beat that stomps on the line between synth-pop and Americana.

Its an instant classic for the indie-rock genre: disaffected, tuneful vocals, ever so shattered, with a pronounced band-sound, and a strong pop sensibility.

The raw and personal nature of both the lyrics and the performance create a poignant and bittersweet finish.

It's a thoughtful shuffle-stick-jam with synth poured over the top like so much Cognac.
