demotapes is a new project from San Francisco based producer, singer, and songwriter Parker Livingston, who also makes music as half of the duo Cassette Tapes. With a show coming up next month at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco opening for Wingtip, his star is definitely on the rise. After dropping his first single "Running" in 2020, Livingston has followed up with a series of memorable electro pop singles that combine melodic hooks with electronic beats in a way that might remind you a little bit of fellow Bitbird alum Duskus.

His music has been featured on Spotify's Fresh Finds, while latest single "gravity" explores that weightless emotional space just after a relationship starts to go wrong, but before it is actually over. This combination of emotional vulnerability and impeccable production chops makes demotapes an artist to watch as "gravity" presents a luscious vocal mix cut with dynamic instrumental interludes, a heartbeat kick drum, and layers of candy-coated synth that just pop.
