Polish dream-pop with a lounge feel, is how I would describe the sound of Blauka. Georgina Tarasiuk puts her clear flutelike soprano in front of a peppy rock beat, and Peter Lewanczyk throws bells and synth and surf-guitar into the soup.

The video brings a very interesting color palette, where the chlorine-pastel blue of the swimming pool is contrasted against the stronger pine-green and blood-red of later shots. The effect is an interesting study between the primary colors of red and green and secondaries like Vegas gold and Saint Tropez blue. Coupled with the retro theme of the outfits and the kitsch novelty of the accessorizing it achieves a Napoleon Dynamite effect, an awkward-cool nod to retro that is fun to watch.

This song is featured on our CHILL Angeles playlist.
