With her debut single "Easy," newcomer BOWIE — formerly known as Vivie Ann — explores an interesting mental exercise. If a huge meteorite was about to crash into the earth in the next twelve hours and irrevocably wipe out all life, would you spend your final hours dancing into the last moments of world history?

BOWIE is an independent songwriter from Germany who produces her own music with the help of super-crazy-talented people that live in the same artsy bubble that she does. Her first EP "The Upside Down" will be out in the end of 2021, and most of the songs on it were written in Los Angeles last year.

"Easy" combines a sparse drum beat with a bouncy bass track, a gorgeous vocal performance, and a large helping of dynamic flourishes that range from little melodic hooks on the piano to resampled vocal snippets and atmospheric guitar riffs. BOWIE combines a natural instinct for commercial pop and dreamy elements of electronic soul with the added production talents of promising newcomer NAKED CAT. This shimmering indie gem is reminiscent of the gleaming violet-on-white coastal sunsets from the beaches of California, reminding us that life is a beautiful thing that we must never take for granted.
