White Sand by Chris Morrissey is a very cool 6/8 feel with some really interesting harmony and chord changes. I love hearing the confident use of a tritone every now and then. It's also refreshing to hear some experimental elements in a groove like this. The electric guitar gathers together dark piano notes under cover of some really strong cymbal work on a cross between Thom Yorke and something Jon Brion might write.

Chris gets big props from us for his MD work with Trixie Whitley. His new album, "Laughing and Laughing" (2018) is a labor of love and was recorded in NYC at Grand Street Studios.
