In a fun and funky collaboration between German artist/producers Cuezy. and Mindsogone, both known for their House-inspired beats, latest single "Can't You See" features a soul vibe and a funky bass-line. What struck me about this track was the vocal similarity to an old friend of mine Chad Wolf, specifically as reminiscent of Hotel Café indie darlings Suzy's Parlour, a precursor to Carolina Liar. This track puts me right back in that LA scene, waiting in line on Cahuenga boulevard, hoping that Meiko is behind the bar.

Anyway, this lively song is billed as the perfect soundtrack for the 3rd date with your new crush. "Can't You See" is a fresh and upbeat mix of hip hop, soul, and house, featuring sexy vocals from Mindsogone as an introduction to Cuezy.'s debut full-length release "Paradigm Shift." He uses sound and frequency to alter your dimension, embracing music played on vinyl, classic hip hop, and 70s-style funk. That instinct is on full display here with fat synthesizers, a hihat shuffle on the acoustic drums, and a clean electric guitar straight out of Sly Stone's home studio.
