Over the past 6 years daydream Masi has been steadily building a dedicated fanbase, beginning with the notoriety he earned in his Ohio hometown as songbird and musical pioneer. Recently, he dove in head first with the release of "Movie Scenes," a productive collaboration between the young artist and Twin Shadow in the mountains of California. Building on the success of lead single "Night Like This," Masi returns with a music video for "New Beginnings"—utilizing honey in all of its forms (color, texture, taste) in that a fresh start should be sweet. The video is directed by Kyle Jetter.
Coming from a skateboarding and music background, Jetter loves things to be a bit unconventional, with fast-paced cuts and a restless sense of movement that extends from the composition's enigmatic facade. Pulled from Masi’s forthcoming project out later this summer, "New Beginnings" explores lush and meaningful combinations of sounds as a metaphor for the choices we make in life, and the passion that Masi exudes through his connection with music.
