She mentions Sade in her press release, and that makes sense to me; there is a certain love affair between the melody and the electronic beats, it's a robot body with a human heart. There are lot of keyboard parts and an almost attack-less bass. It's like all the notes are swimming in a magic water where the acoustic guitar could be a keyboard, the waveforms all play backwards, and the bass sounds cling together at the bottom of the tank.

Deanna, with her new single Seven Eight, gives us a banner song for personal style, resilience, and real talk. It is a rainless cloud trailing across an otherwise blue sky, towing an aphoristic message of personal redemption.
