Deer Fellow is an indie alt-folk duo from Austin, Texas. Mixing classic folk elements with a twist of modern electronic soul, bandmates Matt Salois and Alyssa Kelly met at an open mic and were quick to collaborate. Then they fell in love.

The two have built a cross-genre sound that blends vocal harmonies and unique guitar-violin compositions, and are often compared to the melodic roots-pop of Andrew Bird and The Civil Wars. "If You Don't Lie" presents an inviting mix of acoustic piano, electric guitar, and romantic lyricism. Taken from the EP Words Unsaid, this wistful ode to loving intimacy reminds us that self-honesty and open communication lie at the heart of every successful relationship.
