Acclaimed British blues-rock duo Ferris & Sylvester will be launching their debut album in March of this year. Their unforgettable duet delivers a beautiful sense of contrast—with delicious high-end gravel from Issy Ferris and a buttery baritone from Archie Sylvester. Together they create harmonies that are as natural as they are inspiring, serving as a perfect complement to the roots-rock fueled backing band. Crunchy guitar, soul-heavy backing vocals, a jazzy Hammond B3 and a full horn section come together in a party anthem that has a little something for everyone—with a certain appeal for fans of bands like Alabama Shakes and Fitz & The Tantrums.
"Golden" offers another distinction to the band’s already rich palette as they bring pop, soul and roots influences into their eclectic mix. With the release of their music video directed by Sam Parish-Rookes, this song's lush harmonies and horn accents are brought to life at the venue where Issy and Archie first met: London’s beloved Spiritual Bar, progressing through their journey of first playing solo, to playing together, and finally to a crowded room.
Ferris & Sylvester's debut album "Superhuman" will be coming out via PIAS/Integral on March 11th and later in the Spring they’re set to head out to SXSW for their first US shows since 2019, with more live shows and appearances to be announced soon. This fun jam brings together many of the elements that make Ferris & Sylvester's cowriting so exceptional: a not-so-subtle nod to the blues, fantastic vocal performances, and an improvisational sonic intimacy that is both engaging and unique.
