UK-based Indie Electro artist George Gretton is back with a new single 'Weekdays' from his EP 'Ordinary Life.' His laid-back vibe combines elements of electronic groove with alt-pop and R&B flavors, making his rhythmic sound perfect for fans of Maribou State and Gorillaz. Gretton's music stands testament to the beauty and resilience that can be found in everyday moments, as this chill track explores the cyclical relationship between a busy schedule and the endless search for time to focus on the things that matter.

With a thoughtful, found-sound intro, he incorporates an affinity for recording the sounds of his own life: whether it be from the office, his home, or even public transport. A lively presence from the electric bass—along with layers of atmospheric tones that range from sweeping horns to fuzzy synthesizers—creates a world of sound that is uniquely his own. 'Weekdays' is a lively and satisfying exploration of Gretton's artistic persona, and as a lead single puts the entire EP on solid footing. In the crowded space of pop-oriented electronica, his introspective and relatable sound is a welcome breath of fresh air.

Is it soon enough to leave yet?
‘Cause I’m fleeting while I sleepwalk
Got my head down past the people
To freefall
Where’s the color in your cheeks gone?
I see none
I’ve got half a heart for the day
Half to aspire
Neither’s enough to get somewhere
I’m running out of weeks, yeah
I’m falling out of reach, yeah
Just holding on to week days and weak ways
Incomplete days
Got to get some sleep saved
