Solitude is not loneliness; we always have our own self - for comfort, and forgiveness.

With references here from Fleet Foxes to Bon Iver, Grand Pine gives us a folk-inspired rock exploration of the internal ground we all cover in the struggle against loneliness. It’s a meandering and expressive jam with a dark underbelly.

I am reminded of the old CSN lyric: it gets harder, as you get older. Farther away - as you get closer.

Sometimes, the things you thought you wanted are not what they seemed; living life is a constant process of renewal, for the mind as well as the body. Feel Alone, the new single from Grand Pine, is about using that feeling of separation for something positive. Solitude is not loneliness; we always have our own self - for comfort, and forgiveness.

“If you feel alone
don’t die alone”— Grand Pine

Grand Pine is the project formed by Melbourne singer-songwriter Guy Perkins. This song is featured on our Lost Treasure - Americana playlist.
