This brings me back. I am hearing some Simon LeBon in the lead vocals. It's not exactly the same production style as Duran Duran, but the drum groove feels right and the arpeggiated synth in the intro could almost be Hungry Like the Wolf. The chorus is the best part, the verse is all about the bass line, we get some single-note funk guitar coming in for the chorus and that vocal melody is everything.

The trio GROVES was born in Eagle Rock, CA. They are know for their dreamy alt-pop vibe with some added hip hop elements.
