triple j darlings I Know Leopard are back with a new single produced by Luke O'Loughlin, co-produced and mixed by Konstantin Kersting. "Day 2 Day" is a fine example of their infectious swoon pop, mixing elements of Indietronica and electro with Luke's bright falsetto vocal and an energetic shuffle.

This bit of enticing groove explores the strange reality we find ourselves in right now — with so much time to ourselves to reflect on the endless possibilities of life. An overdriven synth bassline covers the low end for a piano hook and layers of vocal harmony while the lyrics touch on that regular battle in the brain that a lot of us are well acquainted with. As an expression of both hope and frustration, "Day 2 Day" delivers an intimate moment of reflection on the state of the world. It is our job as human beings to continue to find ways to be inspired about this crazy life we are living, and with their latest single I Know Leopard deftly captures that combination of wonder and exasperation. "Day 2 Day" is a bouncy pop anthem for those of us that choose to lead the way through the unknown, leveraging the kind of optimism and presupposition that things can always get better.

Took a picture of of myself today
It's the first time I feel great
Since 2008
Oh they say
They say your eyes don't change
But mine have made their way
Further back into my brain
Day to day
I lose another piece of me
It doesn't have to be this way

I Know Leopard is one of Sydney's most exciting new acts. They released their debut album, "Love is a Landmine," in 2019. Since then they have been steadily climbing the charts with their fresh take on Indietronica and Electro Pop.
