Explores the cold, harsh side of winter, and the salvation to be found in the warmth of a romantic connection.

Raison Music proudly presents one of the most exciting, up-and-coming electronic artists from Lebanon: IMAD, whose single "Altar" was just released in collaboration with Robbie Koex and Sam Phay. IMAD is a 20-year-old student from Beirut, who is not only completely self-taught, but truly embodies a resourceful DIY-mentality: IMAD does production, mixing, mastering, and graphic design all from just a laptop.

Combining organic sounds with wistful emotion, "Altar" explores the cold, harsh side of winter, and the salvation to be found in the warmth of a romantic connection. Long-time confidant and collaborator Robbie Koex, who was involved in the production right from the start, seeks to achieve a unique balance for this track between electronic music and dance. These two friends stumbled upon Melbourne-based songwriter and vocalist Sam Phay while browsing the web, and Phay's unique and soothing tone turned out to be a perfect match for this subtle electro-pop groove. In a celebration of life and experience, "Altar" commemorates the lasting fire of love, and the way that every day spent with our soul-mate can shape who we are forever.

You could be my altar
Something I can’t live without
Lean on you whenever
The last of all my lights gone out

This song is featured on our Groovy Summer playlist.
