London-based singer-songwriter Jasmine Thompson has enjoyed a well-deserved and fast-moving success this year. Her joyful new single, written by Ingrid Andress and AJ Pruis, "happy for you" is available now via Atlantic Records. Jasmine’s booming YouTube presence and captivating vocals helped lead to a major label deal at the age of just 13. Now 20, she has enjoyed a musical growth that’s taken her from viral covers to her own WONDERLAND and COLOUR EPs.

"happy for you" is an instant classic of the magnanimous heartbreak variety, as Thompson leverages her impressive vocal talents alongside a lush, piano-driven production courtesy of TMS. With a music video that showcases a beautiful performance from Jasmine against a backdrop of shifting pastel colors, we come to understand that love is a force that cannot be reasoned with. As we are given temporary passage through the private confines of Jasmines heart, with equal parts vulnerability and moral impeccability we finish by rooting for our heroine as she navigates the difficult aftermath of a lost connection. Somehow Jasmine's effortless vocal ability and light-as-a-feather melodic touch is enough to offer an emotional refuge from the scourge of lonely introspection. We've all been there — this gorgeous pop confection from Jasmine Thompson makes losing love just a bit more manageable.

Just look at that smile, it's one I've never seen
You laugh a lot more than you did with me
Half of me knows we were not a perfect match
Half me let you go, half me wants you back
Oh, I feel so stupid, sitting here losing you when
I could've been heartless and kept you as mine
I wish it were my hands that held you at night
But all of the love that you wanted for us
You found it in someone new
So I'm not happy, but I'm happy for you

Jasmine Thompson's collaboration with German DJ/producer Robin Schulz on "Sun Goes Down (Feat. Jasmine Thompson)" earned 1 billion worldwide streams along with a slew of international gold and platinum certifications and Top 5 and Top 10 chart runs in Europe, Australia, and South America. German DJ Felix Jaehn’s billion-streaming "Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)" remix was an even greater smash, ascending to the top 10 on the iTunes Store’s Top Dance Songs chart while earning gold and platinum certifications in a range of countries.
