It's a very powerful and opaque track that stands on its own: on the surface as a testament to weird, and deeper in as an unfettered brain manifesto that was polished to a bright shine.

This is what I would call a personality-driven arrangement. Jimmy, with his new song Smile, just blows right past anyone's expectations and etches a new star into the universe. The entire song reads as a stream of consciousness, and the production elements seem to morph from section to section in unexpected ways.

I get flavors of David Bowie, maybe even some Bjork. Really though, I don't get a lot of reference points. It's a very powerful and opaque track that stands on its own: on the surface as a testament to weird, and deeper in as an unfettered brain manifesto that was polished to a bright shine.

Smile is simply a reaction to the corporations who perpetuate addiction as a pillar of business.
