Jodie Nicholson's effervescent new single was produced by Tim Bran (Aurora, Rae Morris, London Grammar) and showcases a gorgeous vocal presence and eclectic pop credentials. Inspired by her dad’s love of prog rock, Jodie challenges her singer-songwriter core of delicate melodies and soft instrumentation with a driving electronic groove and shimmering layers of harmony. She blurs the lines of genre expectation with a melancholic soundscape that borrows equally from indie pop, electronic, and folk aesthetics.

With support from PRSF Women Make Music, Jodie’s upcoming EP "Can’t Escape the Feeling" explores what it means to feel alone in a familiar world — cradling vulnerability and loss with emotive instrumentation, pensive lyrics, and an achingly raw and direct accessibility. Musical influences include Daughter, Warpaint, Lucy Rose, and Laura Marling, as Nicholson's warm textures underpin a rich and mellow exploration of life's solitary moments.

Support for Jodie's music has come from Radio 1, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, Record of the Day, American Songwriter and Indie Shuffle, among many others. Visit Jodie Nicholson on Instagram for more info.
