A danceable production leverages this story of attraction into a wine-and-cigarettes parable about living for the moment.

Lauren Sanderson is a young artist cut from the same cloth as Mac Miller and Lorde, mixing an effortless mojo with slick electronic grooves and her unique sense of style. This Fort Wayne, Indiana native is teaching us all a little something about perseverance, gusto, and drive.

Having gone from pretending to be her own manager, to booking her first tour, and opening for folk-pop phenom FINNEAS on tour this fall, Lauren Sanderson did it all on her own: she is dedicated, passionate, and utterly self-secure. 'Hotel Room' is the first offering from Sanderson's forthcoming debut album Midwest Kids Can Make It Big. With a vulnerable quality to her lyrics she explores the romance that got away, cashing in a lusty and heart-wrenching 'one last night' as an ode to young, erratic love. A danceable production leverages this story of attraction into a wine-and-cigarettes parable about living for the moment.
