The theme seems to be the idea of understanding one’s own worth, in the raw and vulnerable context of a relationship. The voice is honest, and simple, and perfectly calm.
As you dig into the lyrics, you realize it is more than that: Truly Known also stands as an unapologetic exploration of how connections can evolve, and how personal needs can change.

The only hard truth here is that in order to be loved, we must love ourselves first. The light which pierces that darkness is understanding, and there is nothing better than the pure feeling of connection with another human being.
