True love is the kind of love that makes you woozy.

Margo Zelle drops an indie pop vibe about finding that special someone, and letting the love slow you down. Everybody needs somebody, and on her new track Lazy, Zelle croons about the person in her life whose mere presence reduces stress.

With a smooth sound that combines elements of soul, R&B, and pop, Zelle's music is heavily influenced by her love of jazz, her jazz vocal and piano training, and her three years with the Austin Jazz Club. With Lazy, Margo continues the tradition set by singer-pianists like Norah Jones, Nina Simone, and more recently Rachel Mazer, by infusing this bouncy pop groove with an impassioned vocal and live-band jazz pocket. The final message from Lazy is simply that true love is the kind of love that makes you woozy.

Margo is associated with Zodlounge, a boutique production and music services company in Nashville founded by Brad Gibson (twenty one pilots), Bret Vargason, and Tom Michael. This song is featured on our Roots Collection playlist.
