Mira Lu Kovacs balances the theatricality of Florence Welch with hints of effervescent folk, and finishes "Stay a Little Longer" with a glorious, tumbled-up melange of acoustic piano, vocal harmonies, and clarinet. I was sick in bed with covid 19 when I wrote this song... And so I started writing this song about surviving. I was actually not referring to the pandemic or the virus itself at all - i was just struggling with everything, it seems. Everything I felt, hurt. Every word and every thought hurt. So I wrote something that I desperately needed to hear.
Mira Lu Kovacs is a prominent and vocal member of the flourishing Austrian indie art scene — curating festivals, sound-designing museums, playing theatre roles, and as a dedicated fighter for feminism and equality. She is also a member of 4-piece rock band My Ugly Clementine.
