With a slow, atmospheric into, and a clean electric guitar, the simplicity of the production style and the purity of the songwriting are allowed to shine. It's a mix of pedal tones, whispery vocals, and washy walls of guitar strumming.

Mount Goldie's stated purpose is, roughly speaking, to 'elevate the ordinary'. On their new release Out In The Streets there is a raw and pristine sound to the sparse production, and a Lou Reed style density in the lyrics. it's open, live-sounding, and meditative, with a strong final crescendo and a dynamic arrangement.

Mount Goldie is a musical artist from Portland, Oregon.
