There is something a little bit predictable about this song but you don't care because it sounds so good. It's like a rush of cold water to the face: you totally saw it coming, but depending on your mood, you might be surprised at how good it feels.

It's a coming-of-age moment that looks to the future as well as the past and there is something candied and piper-like about the nuggets of electric arpeggio that seem to fall in continuous waves. This is something about Iron & Wine meets Bruno Mars. And then the groove hits.

Native is from Switzerland but came to Los Angeles to record his newest single Don't Forget Me. Make sure to watch the whole video, it is an attractive etude of lens reflections around the permanent Spring in southern California, the southwest colonial architecture, and the ubiquitous prairie grass.
