It's a ride through the old-growth forest of cedars. Noah Derksen with his single Wilderness of Oregon which drops today crafts a mellow barrel of piano and acoustic guitar and dirty flat-picking. Tight harmonies and a thoughtful arrangement make this song shimmer by like clouds in the sky heading for the coast.

This song was produced by Winston Hauschild and was recorded live in Vancouver’s historic Afterlife Studios. Derksen spent two months working odd jobs in Portland and exploring the Oregon coastline in search of material for an uptempo song to add to his live set. The organic sound of a live studio session is quite obvious, as is the grittiness of Derksen's inner survivalist. As a proud resident of the great state of Oregon, I approve of this message.
