Drew Smith is a folk and pop songwriter from Hamilton, Ontario. Latest track "One Step Back" pulls some tricks out of the classic soul playbook with a lazy snare pattern and a lot of double hits. This indie folk offering is full of hooks, and follows up on Smith's album The Secret Languages (2012). With a style of reverb and roots production that reminds me a little bit of My Morning Jacket, this little gem is bound to get stuck in your ear.
