This roots acoustic pop number reminds me a little bit of Italian songwriter Of The Valley. Something about the lazy tempo and the dry sensibility puts the listener right in the room with the trio: bass, guitar, drums. "Butterflies" immediately feels personal, affable, and oddly familiar. This song is the musical equivalent of a nostalgic déjà vu. Summer tears and sandalwood. A serene, carefree vacation.

We are in the heart of a memory, or a fever dream. The look on your lover's face never leaves you.

I'm seeing you on Sunday afternoon
We talk about your favorite movies
And my attraction to the moon
A cup of coffee then walk around the park
it's getting dark, but it's not a spark
It's butterflies

Two people fundamentally misaligned.

Except that sometimes discomfort is exactly the point. Attraction is messy, and so is connection. "Butterflies" captures the fragility of a relationship on the cusp of blossoming with delicate harmonies, a gorgeous drum performance, and a balance of mystery and poise.

As a guitarist Fedbo is currently recording, writing, and performing live with acclaimed Jazz-pop Singer-Songwriter Anthony Lazaro.

"Butterflies" features Piero Perelli on drums (Swell Seasons, Glen Hansard) & was recorded between Berlin and the Tuscany countryside.
