For much of their career, Grandbrothers were known for transforming a limitation into an inspiration. Across four acclaimed albums, the duo of German-Turkish pianist Erol Sarp and Swiss engineer/software designer Lukas Vogel created captivating music in which each sound originated from only one instrument: the grand piano. First meeting at University, the pair bonded over a shared interest in minimalist composers such as Steve Reich and John Cage.

With truly next-level talent in terms of sonic transformation and general production wizardry, together they create mesmerizing soundscapes with a seething internal rhythm. Now with added elements beyond just the grand piano, "We Collide" is a dynamic instrumental representation of their unique chemistry, with sleek transitions and inner tension building slowly throughout.

We were asking ourselves, how long do we want to continue this? Is it still inspiring? Does it evoke new ideas or is it some sort of repetition? It felt like it was a good time to open that up. When we started to use analog synthesizers and drum samples, it was so empowering. It was kind of a fresh start.

The Video for "We Collide" was directed by Austrian filmmaker Rupert Höller, who crafted a strong visual counterpart to this powerful track. We look forward to hearing more from upcoming release "Elsewhere" which promises to delineate even further the exciting range of contributions from this standout musical duo.
