Restless Indie Rock from Oshkosh. - KennyHoopla: how will i rest in peace if im buried by a highway?//

The energy of this dance-friendly stream of consciousness melds perfectly with a modern sense of cultural claustrophobia, and encourages everyone to make their mark on the world while there is still time.

Cleveland-born, Wisconsin-based performer Kenneth La’ron - aka KennyHoopla - started making music just three years ago in a moment of artistic inspiration. La’ron was once a breakdancer, a painter, and a photographer, and counts The Drums, Funeral Suits, Passion Pit, and Teen Suicide as some of the greatest influences on his musical aesthetic.

Now, KennyHoopla releases newest track "how will i rest in peace if i’m buried by a highway?//" which is self-described as "new wave nostalgia," and features a driving beat, distressed vocals, and a guitar sound that might remind you of The Cure. He will release his debut EP this spring and is performing at this year’s SXSW Festival. KennyHoopla's DIY brand of genre-agnostic indie rock explores a go-for-it, all-or-nothing mentality, and underlines the restlessness of generation that yearns to change the world. The energy of this dance-friendly stream of consciousness melds perfectly with a modern sense of 'cultural claustrophobia,' and encourages everyone to make their mark on the world while there is still time.

How can I rest in peace if I'm buried by a highway
Pain on the keys is everybody still breathing
Weight on my shadow
It gets more heavy
And it scares me
